The BLASC UFS Moot Court Programme provides law students with simulated courtroom experiences. Real legal practitioners are invited to judge proceedings, making the sessions as authentic as possible. The programme is designed to sharpen skills across multiple legal disciplines through structured training sessions.
Develop the ability to argue your case persuasively before a bench. Sessions focus on structure, tone, pace, legal citation, and responding to judicial questions under pressure.
Learn to construct watertight written arguments. Covers legal research methodology, headnote drafting, pleadings, and argument memoranda — skills essential for every area of legal practice.
Real advocates, attorneys, and prosecutors serve as judges during moot sessions — giving participants direct exposure to professional feedback and real courtroom standards.
Training runs in multiple sessions covering various fields of law. Each session is facilitated by a different legal professional, ensuring broad exposure across criminal, civil, constitutional, and commercial law.
