NPA Partnership

In the Shadow of the Prosecutor

A court shadowing programme giving UFS law students direct access to the world of public prosecution through a formal contract between the NPA, the UFS Law Faculty, and BLASC UFS. The programme is coordinated through the NPA Liaison Team, including Advocate Inez Bezuidenhout, the UFS Law Student Engagement Office, and Bonnita Shai as the main BLASC correspondent for the programme. For enquiries, contact Ufsblascu@gmail.com.

Programme History
The NPA ITSOAP Programme was formally established in 2025 by BLASC UFS to expand practical legal exposure and bridge the gap between academic learning and professional practice. The initiative was led primarily by Mr Rebaone Pule, then Deputy Chairperson, whose strategic engagement helped establish the programme as a structured platform for student exposure to the criminal justice system.

The BLASC UFS Moot Court Programme provides law students with simulated courtroom experiences. Real legal practitioners are invited to judge proceedings, making the sessions as authentic as possible. The programme is designed to sharpen skills across multiple legal disciplines through structured training sessions.
